Handmade in Nicaragua from 100% cotton by a third-generation family of hammock makers. Each king size hammock takes about 24 hours to weave. The hand-woven cotton softens with use, and the wooden spreader bars keep the bed open so it follows your shape.
Everything you need is included: straps that wrap around any tree or post, round or square. Hang it with the anchor points about 14 to 16 ft apart and the straps about 7 to 8 ft off the ground. The first time, set both wooden bars about 5.5 ft off the ground and level with each other. Cotton stretches with use, so after a few uses move the rings up a little higher.
This is 100% cotton, so it should not live out in the weather. If it gets wet once or twice, hang it somewhere sunny to dry. A covered porch is fine as long as rain doesn't reach it. Take it down when you're not using it and leave the straps in place so it rehangs in seconds. Keep it off the ground, where leaves and grass clippings stick to it.
